Essay Questions

Choose one of the following prompts and write an essay of between

250 and 400 words (one to two pages).

Your essay submission must be handwritten: we will not accept typed essays.

At the end of the essay, please copy the following statement:

“I confirm that this is my own work and is the final version. I have acknowledged

each use of the words or ideas of another person. I received no assistance in

planning or writing this essay.”

Please sign and date the statement.

1. If someone were to look at your music collection right now, they would probably know a great

deal about who you are. Individuals are drawn to music, and each song conveys something

about that person. Select a musical piece to be your theme song. Tell us what it would be, and

more specifically, why it represents who you are.

2. The ability to think critically and to approach learning with curiosity is vital to success in the

future. Explain something that you once believed to be true that you have since come to

question.

3. What outrages you? What are you doing about it? ( Or describe a time when you chose to

remain silent and/or take no action concerning an issue and describe the impact this had on you

and on your community.)

Certificate of Exit and Entry for parents and student (Original copy) - must show that the child has resided at least 1095 days outside of Korea. If the child has dual citizenship, a certificate of each passport is required.
