코넬 SCE 프로그램 

코넬 대학교의 썸머 칼리지는, 아이비 대학을 목표로 하거나, 명문 대학을 목표로 둔 학생들에게, 아이비리그 교수진의 수업을 경청하고, 캠퍼스 생활을 미리 해 보는, 칼리지 크레딧 프로그램 썸머 캠프입니다.

학부생들과 함께 일반 코넬 대학 과정에 등록하고, 공식 코넬 성적표를 얻으며, 일반적으로 코넬이나 다른 곳에서 학위를 취득할 수 있는 학부 학점을 취득하게 될 것입니다.

본인이 흥미 있어 하는 수업이나, 미래에 전공 관련 수업을 들어 본다면,대학을 준비하는 10학년, 11학년들에겐 아주 소중한 경험이 되겠지요?

이 경험을 통해 학생들은 진학과 전공에 대한 생각을 해 볼 수 있고, 대학 지원시 특별한 Extracurricular Activity가 될 것입니다. 이 대학의 인기 프로그램으로는 건축학, 아트, 패션 디자인, 비즈니스, 언어학, 문학, 과학, 심리학, 리서치, Hospitality, Engineering and Robotics, 토론, 역사 등이 있습니다.

지원하는 방법 

프로그램에 따른 적정 나이는 15세부터 17세 졸업예정자 최소 18세이며, 나이에 따른 지원자격이 안될경우에는 대신에 Summer Session등록을 하시면 됩니다. 

당신은 대학 수준의 일을 하는데 필요한 입증된 학업 능력, 성숙도, 지적 호기심이 있어야 함을 요구하므로 유학생: 토플 점수 최소 iBT 100점을 요구 하고 있습니다. 100점이 안된다고 해서 지원을 못하는것은 아닙니다. 점수가 안될경우에는 Strategies for College Success, Research and Information Literacy, Academic Writing를 등록할수 있습니다.

GPA나 인터뷰는 보지 않으나, 추천서가 필요합니다.

또한 중요한것 한가지! 

썸머 칼리지에 지원하면 질문에 대한 답변을 요구받게 됩니다.
이러한 진술은 지원서의 중요한 부분입니다. 대학 지원 에세이를 작성하는 것은 좋은 연습입니다.

Your answers to each of the three items should be in English and should not exceed 250 words.

1. What are your three most significant interests and activities (including any employment or volunteer work experience)?

2. So that we can get to know you better, please provide a personal statement that addresses the following questions: 

What distinguishes you from your classmates and peers?

What do you expect to gain from Summer College?

What do you hope to accomplish during the program?

3. Tell us about your interest in the Summer College programs (both your first and second choices) you selected in your application.

Why did you select these programs?

What do you expect to gain from them?

What personal, work, or volunteer experience have you had related to these programs?

If you are applying to the Research Apprenticeship in Biological Sciences (RABS) program, also tell us about a biological research project that you have initiated or participated in.
