위스콘신대학교 매디슨 vs 일리노이대학교 어바나 샴페인대학 합격 분석과 코로나19 관련 SAT 제출사항

 

 

위스콘신 매디슨 대학교와 일리노이 어바나 샴페인 대학교는 경쟁적 위치에 있으면서 모두 중서부를 대표하는 대학들입니다.  두 학교는 상당히 공통점이 많습니다. 모두 이공계가 강한 학교이고 학부생도 약 3만 명 정도로 규모도 비슷하며, 학비도 비슷한 공립 아이비 대학들입니다.

그러나 위스콘신 매디슨 합격이 약간 더 어려운 것으로 알려져 있으며, 학부 공부도 더 힘든 것으로 알려져 있습니다. 두 학교 모두 한인 유학생들이 많고 졸업생 동문도 매우 많습니다.

두 학교 모두 합격률이 50% 이상으로 합격이 쉬울 것 같지만, 실제 유학생들의 경우 20% 정도의 합격률로 결코 쉬운 학교들이 아닙니다.

특히 이 두 학교는 코로나19 관련 2021 가을 학기 지원자들의 SAT. ACT 성적 제출에 관해,  공인시험을 필수적으로 제출 할 것을 업데이트 하였습니다. 

 

위스콘신 매디슨 대학의 경우 2021 가을 학기 지원자들은 그 전까지 시험 볼 기회가 주어 질 것이라 믿고 있으며,  수험생들에게 SAT 컬리지보드와, ACT Inc  홈페이지 모니터링을 권장하고 있습니다. 
 
UW–Madison believes students will have the opportunity to take these tests in time to apply for the Fall 2021 term and continues to require an SAT or ACT score as part of the application."

일리노이 어바나 샴페인 대학은 코로나19로 인한 2020년 가을학기와 2021년 가을학기 지원자들에게 SAT.ACT의 성적 유예에 대한 계획은 없을 것이라는 것을 명시했습니다.

At this time, we are not planning any changes to our expectations of applicants to submit ACT/SAT scores for admission for the Fall 2020 or Fall 2021 cycles."
